This is your wedding, so do things your way. If you have an uneven number in your wedding party, embrace it! There are a lot of ways to make an uneven number work and can make your big day even more memorable.

Each aspect of your wedding day will adapt well to any sized wedding, so don’t let these main areas cause any concern:

Photos
Wedding photographers are pros and they know exactly how to photograph your wedding party with meaningful shots regardless of the number of people in your group. Professional photographers will already know ahead of time that your wedding party is uneven and they will be prepared with ideas to capture your special group.

Processional
Find a way to celebrate your close friends with the processional and make the odd number work in a wonderful way. An easy way to handle the odd numbered wedding party is for the bridesmaids to walk in on their own. Otherwise, have some fun with your arrangement! One groomsman could escort two bridesmaids, or vice versa.

Ceremony
All eyes are on you as the ceremony unfolds and no one will notice, or care, that your wedding party is uneven. If the uneven appearance bothers you, there are still some options: each side can be seated after the processional takes place, leaving the two of you alone, or standing with just your maid of honor and best man.

Recessional
If both sides came in together for the processional, simply reverse for the end of the ceremony. If the bridesmaids and groomsmen didn’t walk in together, they can walk out in groups of three and two until everyone is out. Or, have everyone dance themselves out of the ceremony! Bottom line: don’t be afraid to get creative and have some fun!

Reception
Like the rest of your day, have some fun and make the reception uniquely yours. The entire wedding party can sit at the head table (odd numbers or not), you can arrange the seating arrangement to mirror who they walked into the ceremony with, welcome significant others to sit at the head table, or simply seat yourselves at the head table and let your wedding party sit amongst the guests.
