Yes, you can mail save the date magnets through the US Postal Service as long as they're enclosed in an envelope. Truly Engaging recommends using a heavier weight envelope, such as one made of 70lb. paper, to ensure they don't tear during transit.

Save the date wedding magnets are offered in three sizes at Truly Engaging:

  • 3.5\" x 4\": A nearly square orientation
  • 4\" x 5.5\": Similar to a postcard
  • 5\" x 7\": A common photo frame size

A standard Forever stamp covers parcels that weigh up to 1 oz., so if your save the date wedding magnets with their envelopes weigh more than 1 oz., you may want to add extra postage, such as a postcard stamp. Typically, save the date magnets are mailed six months to twelve in advance. If you're having a destination wedding, send your magnets at least one year in advance so your guests can plan accordingly.
