Gather your Materials

Step 2

GATHER MATERIALS

  • prop printouts
  • spray adhesive
  • heavy cardstock or foam core
  • scissors
  • glue and/or tape
  • popsicle sticks, straws, or dowels
  • X-ACTO (or other utility) knife
  • cutting mat
  • optional embellishments (feathers, rhinestones, etc.)

Step 3

ADHERE PROPS TO CARDSTOCK

Spray adhesive onto the back of your prop printouts, then adhere to cardstock, gently pressing down so the printout lays flat on top of the cardstock.

(We recommend using a spray adhesive, as many brands are non-toxic and won’t bleed through the paper like heavier liquid glue/adhesives.)

Don't have spray adhesive?
That’s OK—you could also try double-sided tape or a glue stick. Just be sure to allow extra time for the glue to dry.

Step 4

CUT OUT YOUR PROPS

To cut out the insides of the glasses, try using an X-acto knife (or other utility knife), with a cutting board underneath to protect the surface.

Don't have a utility knife?
No worries! Glasses look great even without the centers cut out. You could also sketch some kooky cartoon eyeballs on them. Guests will love it!

Step 5

ASSEMBLE & EMBELLISH

Use tape or glue to attach handles to the back of each prop.

(Here, we used wooden dowels and several layers of tape for stability.)

Pretty Up Your Props!
Add some sparkle and shine to your props! Bedazzle your props with rhinestones, feathers, or any other embellishments you wish. Be creative!

Step 6

TEST OUT YOUR PROPS!

Here's the fun part! Round up some wedding party members and do a practice run. Try to take photos in an environment similar to your reception venue/locale.

(We tested these props outdoors to practice for an outdoor reception and photo booth.)
