Jake and I got engaged on Halloween day. I came home from work, and he opened the door and the cutest German short-haired pointer puppy came hopping out. On her tag was engraved “will you marry my daddy?” Jake got down on one knee and of course I said yes!! He had always been good at surprising me. We got our engagement pictures done a few months after on a snowy cold day, but it was worth shivering for … they turned out amazing and we even had some real snowflakes coming down.
